speaking of which...

First, TABNet's web forum was gutted by the great migration to LJ.

Then, this TABNet group was made on LJ.

Most of the migrants never made it here, either because they never knew about it or as a deliberate split from the general dysfunction of our long-lived community.

And now soon, this will be the only remaining active online manifestation of tabnet after 18 years: three dudes in three provinces warming an empty group.

Aww. I has a sad :-(

Have been half-wondering recently whether there would be any interest/point in trying to do some kind of "20 years and we're still alive!" meetup in 2013. I'm beginning to think that: maybe not.

Of course, I s'pose we can always burn that bridge when we get to it.

(Edited because: what the hell decade are we in again?)
I'm always game for a meetup and could feed you, for a change of pace. You haven't met Jim Casey the cat yet! That said, I'm sure meeting-up still occurs, I just have no idea where or how. (Things being what they are, in 2013 it will be at a daycare centre.)

That'll be my deadline for issue 2 of the TABZine and the TABNet text adventure game.
*obligatory comment about how LJ is also about to die*
No problem, then we can change it to some other long-lived, stable platform like Friendster or Geocities.

Shouldn't that be four dudes now?

This is going to take some getting used to.
